This page explains, in plain English, what Resume Black Belt collects and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Resume text you paste or upload (DOCX or PDF).
• Job postings and job links you enter, and company names.
• Answers you type in, such as facts you confirm for a rewrite.
• Your email address, only if you give it to us: to unlock your category breakdown, at checkout, or when you email us.
• Whether you ticked "Send me weekly job-search tips", and when.

How we use it

Only to produce the result you asked for: your score, category breakdown, full report, Prep Guide or rewrite. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Your email

• We use your email to unlock your results.
• We only send you weekly job-search tips if you tick that box. It's unticked unless you choose it.
• Emails are stored with our email service, MailerLite, or in our site's own database.
• We never sell your email or share it for anyone else's marketing.
• Every tips email has an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe or ask us to delete your email at resumeblackbelt@mail.grokbot.com.

How long we keep it

Resumes, job text, answers and results are deleted within 24 hours. Your email is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. You can delete them sooner with the delete button on your results. If you pay, we keep a basic order record (such as email, product, amount and time) for payments, refunds and taxes.

AI processing

To generate results, your text is sent to a third-party AI provider, OpenAI, through its API. OpenAI says it does not use API data to train its models by default, and it may keep API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days to provide the service and detect abuse. See OpenAI's privacy commitments. When AI is not available, results come from our own rule-based software.

Payments

When paid products go live, payments are handled by a payment processor. We don't see or store your full card details.

Hosting

Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. A payment processor may set cookies needed for checkout.

Deletion and questions

To ask us to delete your data, or with any privacy question, email resumeblackbelt@mail.grokbot.com.
